Client Privacy Policy

Version 1.0 · Effective 23 June 2026 · Operated by BahaNext Limited

1. What this policy covers

This Privacy Policy explains how BahaNext Limited ("BahaNext", "we", "us") handles personal information belonging to the businesses and individuals who hold a Signal Insights account and use the Signal Insights platform (the "Platform") to commission and run research. In this policy, "you" and "Client" mean the account holder and the people who use the Platform on the account holder's behalf, and it should be read together with the Signal Insights Client Terms. It is a deliberately narrow policy: Signal Insights is a business-to-business research tool, and the data that matters to our business is the surveys you launch and the results they produce. We use a limited amount of analytics, and measurement of our own advertising, to run the service and to reach businesses that may benefit from it, as described below.

2. The research Panel is separate

Surveys launched on the Platform are answered by members of our consumer research Panel. The personal information of Panel members is not governed by this policy; it is handled under a separate panelist privacy policy between BahaNext and its Panelists, and BahaNext is the controller of that data on the panel side. The results we make available to you are aggregated and do not identify individual Panel members. You do not receive Panel members' personal information, and you must not attempt to identify or contact them (see the Client Terms). This separation is intentional, because the integrity of the research depends on it.

3. The personal information we collect about you

We collect account and identity information (your name, business email address, organisation or company name, your role, and a phone number if you choose to give one); sign-in information (we sign you in using your email address and keep a record of sign-in events to keep your account secure); billing information when you purchase research (a billing name, billing address, any tax or business registration number you provide, and a record of your orders and the amounts charged in Bahamian dollars; card and payment-account details are handled directly by our payment processor and are not stored by us); survey configuration (the surveys you build, including your questions, targeting criteria, and any creative, stimulus, or other material you upload to run a study); communications you send to us (for example to support@signalnassau.com) and our replies; the limited technical information we need to operate and protect the service, such as what is required to keep you signed in and to guard against abuse; and usage and analytics information about how you use the Platform, such as the pages and features you use together with standard device and browser information, collected through a third-party analytics provider so that we can understand how the service is used and improve it.

4. Advertising and marketing measurement

When we advertise Signal Insights (for example, through online or social media advertising), we use conversion-tracking and advertising technologies, including pixels and similar tools provided by advertising platforms. These let us measure whether our advertising leads to sign-ups and find other businesses that may be interested in the service. They may set cookies or similar identifiers on our website and may share limited information about visits and sign-ups with the advertising platform, which uses it under its own privacy policy. This applies to visitors to the Signal Insights website, including people who are not yet Clients.

5. What we do not do

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not use the survey responses or results, or any Panel data, for advertising; our advertising measurement uses only website-visit and sign-up activity on the Signal Insights site, never the research data. We do not show third-party ads to you inside the Platform.

6. Survey content, responses, and results

The surveys you create, the responses collected from the Panel, and the results produced (raw and aggregated) are Platform Data owned by BahaNext, as set out in the Client Terms, and you receive a licence to use the results of your own orders. If material you upload to run a study contains another person's personal information, you are responsible for having the right to provide it to us for that purpose.

7. How we use your information

We use your information to create, operate, and secure your account; to provide the Platform and deliver the results of your orders; to process payments and keep accurate financial and tax records; to respond to your questions and provide support; to send you service messages about your orders and account (for example, that a study is live or complete); to comply with our legal obligations; to understand how the Platform is used so we can improve and develop it; to measure and improve our own advertising and reach businesses that may be interested in the service; and to enforce our terms and protect against fraud and misuse. Members of our team who are authorised to do so may access your account and its contents where it is necessary to provide support, to investigate an issue you have raised, to maintain security, or to operate the service, and we keep this access limited to what the task requires. We do not use your information for purposes unrelated to running your account and providing the service.

8. The Data Protection Act

BahaNext Limited is the data controller for the Client personal information described in this policy. We handle that information in line with the Data Protection (Privacy of Personal Information) Act, 2003 of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, including collecting it fairly and lawfully, limiting its use to the purposes set out above, keeping it reasonably accurate, and protecting it with appropriate security.

9. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the Platform on our instructions, including our hosting and database provider, our deployment and content-delivery provider, our analytics provider, our email-delivery provider, and (when you pay) our payment processor, each of whom may process your information only to provide their service to us; with advertising platforms where we run advertising for Signal Insights, which through the conversion-tracking technologies described above may receive limited information about visits to and sign-ups on our website and act under their own privacy policies; and with authorities or advisers where we are required to by law or where it is necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. If BahaNext is involved in a sale, merger, or reorganisation of its business, Client information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

10. Where your information is processed

Our service providers may store and process information outside The Bahamas, including in the United States and the European Union. Where information is processed outside The Bahamas, we take reasonable steps so that it remains protected consistently with this policy and the Act.

11. How long we keep it

We keep your account and billing information for as long as your account is active, and afterwards for as long as we need it to meet legal, accounting, and record-keeping obligations. We keep the results of your studies available to you for download for at least 30 days after a study concludes (see the Client Terms), and you are responsible for exporting and keeping your own copy. Survey content and responses are retained as Platform Data owned by BahaNext.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including access controls and encryption of data in transit. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Your rights

You may ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or out of date, and close your account and ask us to delete the personal information that identifies you. Please note that closing your account does not delete the survey responses or results, which are Platform Data owned by BahaNext and may be retained, including in aggregated form, and we may also keep certain records where the law requires us to. To exercise any of these, contact us at support@signalnassau.com, and we will respond within a reasonable time.

14. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for three purposes: those that are strictly necessary to run the service, such as keeping you signed in and protecting your account; analytics cookies that help us understand how the Platform is used so we can improve it; and, when we advertise Signal Insights, advertising and conversion-tracking cookies or similar identifiers set by advertising platforms to measure our marketing. Depending on your browser settings you can block non-essential cookies, though some parts of the service may then not work as well.

15. Not directed to children

Signal Insights is a business service intended for use by people aged 18 and over. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect children's personal information through a Client account.

16. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version with a new effective date, and if a change is significant we will take reasonable steps to bring it to your attention.
